![]() Miniature Hereford cattle were NEW to the cattle industry and no one had ever heard of them. That was the beginning of a whole new world for us here at the KP Ranch. In 1994 the inability to exand our operation forced us to liquidate the entire commercial herd and we then purchased our first Miniature Hereford cattle. The KP Ranch, owned and operated by Kenny & Ali Petersen was established in 1992, located in eastern Nebraska about an hour north of Omaha near Summit Lake, running a commercial beef production cow/calf operation. The rate is $100 per hour.MINIATURE HEREFORDS & MINIATURE AUSSIES KP RANCH – PRIDE IN PRODUCTION THROUGH PROGRESS… AS PROVEN IN THE SHOW RING Riding Instructors: With advance notice, we can provide private trail rides and basic riding instructions.Hiking Guides: The rate is $200 for a hiking guide to lead your group on an all-day trip up the Sleeping Indian mountain and back.However, time spent with one of our guides will expand your abilities as a fly fishing angler, and you will catch more fish. Nearly all of our guests catch fish without hiring private guides. You are certainly welcome to fish without a fishing guide. The rate is $300 for half a day for 1 or 2 people. Fishing Guides: With advance notice, we can arrange private fishing guides on the ranch.We charge $150 per trip when a guest asks us to arrange an extra trip to town. Transportation: Your group and luggage may ride free in our Monday and Friday car shuttles to and from Jackson (and the Jackson Hole Airport).We have a 6 percent tax on meals and an 5 percent tax on lodging, but no tax is charged on the portion of our rate attributable total recreational activities. Taxes: Your bill will include state and local taxes.Any additional tips are at your discretion. This amount is split evenly among the staff. Tips: 15% gratuity is added to your bill.Final Payment: Your balance, including taxes and gratuity, is owed to us 30 days prior to your arrival.All cancelations (regardless of reason) will forfeit the initial 50% deposit unless we are able to fill the cancelled reservation at full price. Guests are responsible for all reserved dates and will be charged for all late arrivals and early departures. ![]() Cancellation Policy: Because of our ranches intimate size of only five guest cabins, cancellations really hurt us, Flat Creek Ranch will strictly adhere to our booking and cancellation policy.Preferred method of payment is check, money order or direct bank deposit. Final payment is due 30 days in advance of arrival. Deposits: A Non-refundable initial deposit of 50% is required to confirm a reservation.Arrival and Departure: Our pick up in town is around 3 PM and the last check out from the Ranch is at 11AM.The Ranch is closed for the season after October 2nd.2023 Season dates will be May 29th through October 2nd.Immerse yourself in the wilderness and take in incredible views of Cache Peak, the Teton and Wind River ranges and more. More Info Backcountry CampĪdd a backcountry camping trip onto your stay at Flat Creek Ranch during July and August. Our shoulder season allows for more flexibility and still time for relaxation and activities such as hiking, fly fishing horseback riding and more. Join us for a 3, 4, or 7 night stay during our Spring and Fall weeks. If the Sleeping Indian hike is on your list, you will have ample time to acclimate. This is the best way to go hiking, riding and fishing while still having plenty of time to decompress and unwind. This is the favorite stay of our returning guests! Arrive at the ranch on Monday and stay for a week. Transportation at scheduled times to and from town of Jackson (or the Jackson Hole airport JAC).Complimentary beer and wine at cocktail hour and dinner.Guided hikes (excluding Sleeping Indian).A fly fishing clinic for beginning and intermediate anglers.Relax in our Cedar soak hot tub and wood firer sauna over the creek. Including: Canoes, Sit-on-top Kayaks, Paddleboards, Drift Boat, Hiking Equipment, and Fishing Equipment. Use of all ranch recreational equipment.Three meals a day - a heaping breakfast, a healthy lunch and a 4 course ranch gourmet dinner utilizing local ingredients.Small intimate setting with 5 cabins and 15 guests.Backcountry Camp rate: $1,875 per person for 3 day/ 3 nights package -2 person minimum.$450 for each additional person per night, plus tax and gratuity.The minimum nightly rate per cabin is $1250 for 1 or 2 people. Year-round nightly rate: $625 per person, based on double occupancy, plus tax and gratuity.
